Fall Book Sale

Mark your calendars for our fall book sale on October 10th! Yep, that's right - the sale is on a Sunday this year. Get your errands out of the way on Saturday and have more time to browse our books on Sunday!

Paperbacks are only 1€ and hard covers are 2€. We have books in every category, with tons of general fiction, young adult, and parenting. Be sure to tell your friends about this great way to get inexpensive books, meet other people in the English-speaking community, and support our organisation!

  • Donations before the sale: Call 01 46 21 46 46 or email admin@soshelpline.org to arrange a pick-up.
  • Donations the weekend of the sale: Drop off books at the venue Saturday, October 9, 12-4pm or Sunday, October 10, 12-4pm.

We'd like to thank Orrick for generously donating their space to us once again. Please note that Orrick staff will not be able to answer any questions so contact SOS Help with ALL inquiries related to the book sale. Thanks!


"Everything Must Go" Summer Book Sale

A big thank you to everyone who made our summer book sale a success! Thanks for braving the rain and coming out to rummage through our books. We raised over 1,000€!

Miss the sale? Be sure to stop by our fall sale on October 10! Have donations? You may bring them on the day of the next sale or, for donations of 50 or more books, please call us to arrange a pick up.

All proceeds benefit SOS Help, with our book sales accounting for a large percentage of our fundraising efforts. We greatly appreciate your support!


Spring Book Sale

Thanks to everyone who made the SOS Help Spring Book Sale a success! Because of your support, we raised 4,350€ for SOS Help.

We'd like to give a special thanks to the following:

"Writers at the Residence" Was A Success

The event, hosted by Lady Westmacott at the Residence at the British Embassy, was a huge success. The panel was led by Bryce Corbett and featured 5 other prominent writers: Stephen Clarke, Alec Lobrano, Michael Sadler, Heather Stimmler-Hall (check out her blog post about SOS Help), and Charles Timoney. After a lighthearted discussion about life in France, the 200+ crowd mingled with the authors during a reception. We raffled off 7 books signed by the authors and also had the opportunity to purchase books to be signed by the authors.

We want to thank Lady Westmacott, all of the authors, WH Smith, and, most importantly, everyone who attended the event, making it a profitable and enjoyable evening.
